Chelsea loanee, Romelu Lukaku, has recently shared insights about his future as the summer transfer window draws near. The Belgian international is set to return to Stamford Bridge this summer but insists that his current focus remains on AS Roma until the season's end.

Lukaku revealed his love for Serie A and plans to help Roma
During an interview with Sky Italia, Lukaku expressed dissatisfaction with his situation at Chelsea and confessed that Inter still held a special place in his heart. This led him back to the Serie A club for a season-long loan in 2022.
AS Roma striker, Romelu Lukaku, said:
"Now I’m focused on Rome, it makes no sense to talk about the future now. I want to help Roma win. Doors closed with the past? The life of a footballer is like this, there are positive and negative moments. I’m living a dream, I play in a league that has given me so much, in the end I want to do everything to help Roma win.”
Despite discussions of a permanent transfer back to Inter in 2023, negotiations fell through after talks were held with Juventus. Eventually, Lukaku found himself joining AS Roma squad on loan last summer.
Roma could be a serious option for Lukaku at the end of season
As the end of the season approaches and his loan deal expires, reports suggest that Chelsea remains keen on offloading him during this year's summer window. Since joining AS Roma on loan last summer he has made 31 appearances across all competitions and scored an impressive total of 16 goals which highlight Lukaku's significant contribution to Roma despite being away from Stamford Bridge.
