Malo Gusto and Carney Chukwuemeka have sustained injury during break

Chelsea, the renowned English football club, has been hit with a double injury blow less than a week into the final international break of the season. This comes as worrying news for Chelsea fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike.

The Blues have seen most of their senior squad leave Cobham for around two weeks to carry out duties with their national sides. However, two standout players from Mauricio Pochettino's team who shone in the win over Leicester last week have suffered setbacks.

Malo Gusto and Carney Chukwuemeka are both facing injury concerns. Gusto was called up to France Under-23 squad for matches against Ivory Coast and USA but has now dropped out due to illness. He will return back to Cobham for recovery, according to reports.

Chukwuemeka doubtful but Badiashile set to return

Carney Chukwuemeka’s minor issue also casts uncertainty over his participation in upcoming matches. His performance against Leicester highlighted his importance within Pochettino's squad, making his potential absence a significant concern.

Despite the worrying injury news, there are some positive updates from Cobham. Thiago Silva, who lost his place in the Brazil squad, remains at the Surrey training base. The break will allow him to progress towards full fitness ahead of the final stretch of fixtures this term which includes an FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City next month.

Benoit Badiashile is also waiting to get back in the side following a lengthy layoff himself. His return could provide a much-needed boost for Chelsea amidst these challenging times.

The double injury blow is indeed concerning for Chelsea as they navigate through this international break. However, with players like Silva and Badiashile working towards their return and Pochettino's strategic planning, fans can remain hopeful about overcoming these hurdles.
