The platform will go live on August 23 with live coverage of the Pixum Super Cup 2023 Competition

Dyn, formerly known as S-Nation, will be the new sports streaming platform for Germany.

The platform has managed to strike a deal with DAZN to acquire the streaming rights for EHF Champions League and EHF European League Handball competitions for both, men and women. The EHF Champions League and the EHF European League Handball competitions will be the flagship property of Dyn.

Dyn Media is the result of a partnership between Axel Springer and Christian Seifert, who is the former DFL chief.

The platform has been acquiring deals and rights across the last year and so will also feature Basketball, Hockey, Volleyball, and Table Tennis.  That being said, the Pixum Super Cup 2023 competition (handball) will be the first to feature on the platform.

The subscription would include access to all live games, highlights, and editorial formats of the leagues and can be accessed across various devices. The membership will cost E14.50 per month if the customer decides to go for a monthly subscription or an annual subscription equivalent to E12.50 per month.

The customers will also be asked the league of their preference during confirming their subscription. The idea is to allocate 10% of the subscription cost to the relevant league. This will be at no extra cost to the customer because Dyn has also struck a partnership with the German Federal Sports Leagues and Associations.

Extensive editorial content such as highlights and interviews will be made available to the leagues, clubs, and media partners via the Dyn Content Desk which is a cloud-based platform for retrieving and uploading content. They can then distribute or air the content on their respective platforms.

Andreys Hayden will be assuming the role of the CEO at Dyn Media. This is what he had to say about the project:

“When it comes to pricing, we rely on a simple, transparent and fair model: customers can choose between a subscription that can be canceled monthly and a discounted annual subscription. An annual subscription with a minimum term of 12 months will cost €12.50 per month, and a subscription that can be canceled monthly will cost €14.50,”

Christian Seifert, who is the founder and shareholder of Dyn has said that:

“Dyn will be more than a sports channel. The heart of our concept is the partnership with and for sport. By providing more free-to-air content than ever before, we’re significantly increasing the visibility of leagues and competitions. Through the agreed proceeds from the media rights, more reach for the leagues, clubs, and their sponsors, we also support sustainable structural growth in sport with the help of our Move Your Sport concept”
