The Spanish top flight has agreed to renew its broadcast deal with the British TV network

Fans of Spanish football in the UK will continue to see La Liga on their screens after the league announced it will renew its existing TV rights deal with pay-TV network Premier Sports.

This means Real Madrid, Barcelona and 18 other Spanish top flight teams will be seen on TV and via live streaming, either on Premier Sports' various channels or their online platform Premier Player.

This extension of their agreement means La Liga will remain on Premier Sports in the UK until the end of the 2024/25 season.

La Liga TV, the league's own private channel, will also remain a part of the DTC platform Premier Player and Amazon Prime Video.

Premier Sports has confirmed that they will roll out their plans for the distribution of La Liga related content in the coming weeks.

Richard Sweeney, Chief Executive of Premier Sports said:

“Since 2019, as Premier Sports and LaLiga have worked hand-in-hand to actively promote Spanish football, we’ve come to appreciate the deep-seated passion that makes LaLiga the most popular foreign league on these shores,”

“With our recent addition of rights to the Uefa Nations League and Euro 2024 Qualifiers, we continue to position Premier Sports as a go-to destination for football fans across the UK and Ireland.”

Melcior Soler, Audiovisual Director at LaLiga, also gave his thoughts:

“These past three years have seen LaLiga reach British and Irish viewers via a unique distribution strategy forged in partnership with Premier Sports,”

“We look forward to continuing to innovate in our offering to the UK and Ireland markets, allowing viewers everywhere to enjoy the best that Spanish football has to offer.”

This news will come as a delight to those fans who currently have Premier Sports. Premier Sports 1, Premier Sports 2, La Liga TV and Box Nation are available as a bundle on Sky, Virgin or NetGem. Alternatively, those only interested in an online live streaming option can get all of these channels on the Premier Player or Amazon Prime Video.

However, some fans may not have a subscription to any of those services and perhaps can't afford one. Fortunately, there is another option. British football fans can watch La Liga matches at a very low cost via live streaming with bet365 on their website or their app, which is available on a multitude of mobile devices.
