Pedro Porro is in contention for selection after returning to training

Tottenham Hotspur fans have a reason to cheer as right-back Pedro Porro is set to return for their Premier League fixture against Aston Villa. After missing the last two matches due to an injury, his availability has been confirmed by manager Ange Postecoglou on Friday.

The 24-year-old Spaniard has been instrumental in Tottenham's performance this season, boasting the joint-top assists for Spurs across all competitions. His absence was felt during their 2-1 home loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers last month and a subsequent 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace last weekend, both games missed due to a muscular strain.

Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou, said

"Everyone from last week is available. Pedro is good, he's trained this week. Everyone else, including Richy (Richarlison), is still not training,"

Porro's return is expected to significantly boost Postecoglou's side who are currently fifth in the league standings after securing 50 points from 26 games. However, Richarlison, Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon continue their hiatus from the field owing to injuries.

Postecoglou confirms plans to sign Werner permanently

With a Champions League spot hanging in balance, Spurs are gearing up for an intense face-off with Unai Emery's side at Villa Park on Sunday. Currently trailing fourth-placed Villa by five points, they still hold an advantage with one game in hand.

Postecoglou also highlighted that while Timo Werner has made Spurs stronger since his loan move from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, there is still much more that the German forward can offer. This statement indicates that fans can look forward to even more dynamic performances from Werner as he continues his journey with Tottenham Hotspur.

Ange Postecoglou added:

"I think he's been really important. If we hadn't brought him in January then there would have been far more of a burden on the other players in the group...,"

"We threw him straight in. We brought him in to make an impact, and I think he has made an impact, but I think there's more to come from him."

Pedro Porro’s return comes as great news for both sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike. His proven track record of assists could potentially tip the scales in favor of Spurs in their upcoming clash against Aston Villa. Coupled with the promising performance of Timo Werner, this match promises to be an exciting event for all Premier League followers.
