Exclusive TV and live streaming contract to begin at the start of the upcoming season

StarHub has secured an exclusive six-year agreement with the English Premier League to provide coverage of all 380 Premier League matches each season in Singapore.

The company will broadcast every match of the Premier League season across its new series of sports channels, set to launch next month, calledd Hub Premier. Matches will be available in full HD on TV through the StarHub TV+ box and online via the StarHub mobile app, which is accessible on most mobile devices.

This Premier League deal will begin at the start of the 2022/23 season and run until the end of the 2028/29 campaign.

Full details of the pricing of the package will be revealed by StarHub later this month.

A StarHub spokesperson said of the deal:

“With StarHub TV+, we have been leading the market for delivering a new way of enjoying entertainment, with or without a set-top box, based on customers’ preferences. This is part of our DARE+ five-year transformation strategy to deliver to customers their favourite content on any screen. We will continue to work towards enhancing the OTT experience for our customers,”

“We forge exclusive multi-year partnerships with like-minded partners, such as beIN and The Premier League, to serve up Singapore’s widest stable of sporting events to our customers. This year, we secured several major sports properties, such as the Australian Open and the French Open. By carefully curating various Entertainment bundles according to customers’ viewing needs, this ensures they are competitively priced while still reflecting the value of coverage,”

StarHub will also broadcast the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy between Liverpool and Crystal Palace at the Singapore National Stadium on July 15.

As well as providing coverage in crystal clear HD, StarHub will give fans the opportunity to enjoy some innovative new features including split screening and in-game statistics.

This latest victory for StarHub adds to their growing portfolio of football rights which already includes the German Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A, as well as plenty of other sports.

This is the latest in a long series of agreements made between the English Premier League and broadcasters around the world as companies secure three, five and even six year deals starting from next season.
