HBS already holds big partnerships with FIFA and UEFA

Host Broadcast Services (HBS), a television production company owned by international sports marketing agency Infront, has been appointed by Conmebol, South American soccer’s governing body, as the host broadcaster for the upcoming 2024 Copa America matches. The tournament is set to take place in the United States.

This marks the second time that HBS will provide host broadcaster coverage for this prestigious event. The first occasion was during the Copa América Centenario in 2016. This year's edition of the tournament is scheduled to kick off on June 20 and conclude with a grand finale on July 14.

The addition of this year's Copa America further enriches HBS's already impressive soccer portfolio. The company has established partnerships with several prominent soccer bodies including FIFA, Europe's UEFA, and North and Central America's Concacaf.

Monserrat Jimenez, Conmebol’s deputy secretary general and general legal counsel, said:

“HBS’ dedication to elevating football coverage globally is unquestionable. Its selection as our host broadcaster for Copa América USA 2024 underscores its proven expertise in delivering top-tier productions.”

HBS looking to expand in North America through US-based subsidiary

In an effort to expand its business into North America, HBS launched a US-based subsidiary known as HBS LLC in January 2023. Based out of Miami, Florida, this division manages all current projects that HBS is working on within the United States territory including an extended contract with Concacaf.

Dan Miodownik, HBS chief executive, said:

“The attention of the world will be on Conmebol’s top stars and, as such, world-class production and project management is required. That is where Conmebol has put their trust in our track record.”

Beyond soccer events, Host Broadcast Services also provides broadcast services for several other major sporting events across different disciplines. These include FIFA competitions beyond just football like futsal and beach soccer; rugby through their coverage of Rugby World Cup; and tennis via their broadcasting services at French Open Grand Slam among others.

Sports fans can look forward to high-quality broadcast coverage from an experienced player like Host Broadcast Services during this year’s highly anticipated Copa America tournament.
