The Sporting manager has brushed off claims of verbal agreement with Reds

Ruben Amorim, Sporting Lisbon manager, has once again been questioned about his future with the club as rumors continue to link him with a potential move to Liverpool.

Amorim found humor in the latest round of inquiries regarding his future at Sporting Lisbon. The Portuguese manager has been consistently linked with a move to Liverpool, sparking widespread speculation about his next career move. However, he dismissed these claims during a recent pre-match press conference.

The Portuguese took issue with suggestions that he already had a verbal agreement to join the Reds last week and hit out at reports when addressing such claims at a pre-match press conference where he insisted he wouldn't speak anymore about his future.

Amorim looked in no mood in entertaining rumours

Despite this stance, reporters continued their line of questioning during Monday's pre-match press conference. They creatively asked if any of his Sporting players had queried him about his future amid ongoing speculations.

In response, Amorim laughed off the question while mentioning Liverpool as he referenced last week's reports.

Ruben Amorim, Sporting manager, said:

"To end everything that has been reported, this is the last time I will talk about my future. There was no interview or agreement with Liverpool. The only thing we all want is to be crowned champions and nothing will change.

"I’ll say it again, I’m Sporting’s coach. There was no interview with any club or agreement with any club. I am focused, as always, on defending my club. And as I have nothing else to say, there won’t be any interviews or agreements with Sporting’s coach - that’s it, that matter is resolved.

"Stop with this story. This is the last time I speak about my future.”

Amorim big contender to replace Jurgen Klopp at Anfield

According to sources, while Amorim has emerged as an attractive option for Liverpool's management team led by Fenway Sports Group football supremo Michael Edwards, the process to recruit their next manager is still ongoing.

Liverpool is currently identifying and researching feasible candidates who could replace Jurgen Klopp and have yet to determine and formally act upon a preferred candidate. As it stands now, despite being an appealing choice for many within the club's hierarchy due to his impressive track record at Sporting Lisbon - there are no concrete plans or agreements in place between Ruben Amorim and Liverpool FC.

While rumors continue swirling around Ruben Amorim’s potential move from Portugal’s top-flight league over to England’s top Premier League club– it seems that both parties are still in the early stages of their respective decision-making processes. For now, Amorim remains committed to his role at Sporting Lisbon, and Liverpool continues its search for a suitable successor to Jurgen Klopp.

As the situation develops, sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike will be keenly watching for any signs of confirmation or denial from either party involved in this high-stakes managerial shuffle.
