The FIFA Club World Cup 2023 will kick off this month with Manchester City leading the charge but competition is yet to find home in UK

As the football world gears up for the FIFA Club World Cup 2023, sports fans and betting enthusiasts in the UK have a reason to rejoice. The tournament is heading to Saudi Arabia this December, and it has been revealed that UK viewers can catch all the action either on BBC or ITV.

The announcement was made by the Olympics’ press centre, although official confirmation from either BBC or ITV is still awaited. This means that football fans in Britain will be able to enjoy one of football's most prestigious tournaments right from their living rooms.

The championship will witness continental champions from across Europe, North America, South America, Oceania, Africa and Asia vying for glory. Additionally, Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad FC will represent Saudi Arabia as a host nation representative.

This 20th edition of the championship promises high-octane action between 12th and 22nd December in Jeddaht

Fans can look forward to seven knockout games with all added extra time and penalties if they occur. However, there's an exception - if regular play during the third-place match doesn't produce a winner within 90 minutes both teams will proceed directly into a penalty shootout.

Matches are scheduled at two venues - Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports City Stadium and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium - ensuring an immersive experience for both players and spectators alike.

For those outside of UK boundaries; North American, Central American and South American viewers can tune into Peacock or FOX Sports for FIFA Club World Cup live streaming. Moreover, FIFA+ plans to provide comprehensive coverage of this global event across most parts of the world.

Interestingly enough, this year's tournament marks an end to its traditional seven-team format. The tournament is set to introduce a 32-team structure as it moves to the US in 2025, promising an even more thrilling and competitive event.

The FIFA Club World Cup 2023 promises to be a spectacle for football fans worldwide. Whether you're in the UK or elsewhere, there are plenty of ways to catch all the action live. So mark your calendars and get ready for some top-tier football action this December!
