Arsenal have some serious injury concerns in squad suddenly

Arsenal's star player, Bukayo Saka, has recently withdrawn from the England squad ahead of their friendly clash against Brazil. This move has sparked fresh concerns about his injury status and its potential impact on Arsenal's season finale.

The 22-year-old winger was selected by Three Lions' manager Gareth Southgate to participate in two friendly fixtures against Brazil and Belgium. However, before even a single ball was kicked, Saka decided to leave the camp. The Football Association confirmed this news through a brief statement.

Football Association released statement:

"Bukayo Saka has left the England camp and returned to his club for continued rehabilitation The Arsenal forward reported to St. George's Park with an injury and has been unable to participate in training.

"No further replacements are planned as a 25-man England squad continue their preparation for the forthcoming internationals with Brazil and Belgium."

This decision comes as an injury precautionary measure that could potentially affect Arsenal's end-of-season performance. Depending on the severity of Saka's fitness issue, some fans might view this development as beneficial if it prevents their key forward from sustaining more serious injuries during such a critical phase of the campaign.

Saka’s withdrawal has sparked controversy

Interestingly enough, Sky Sports pundit, Gary Neville had predicted such an occurrence just hours before it happened on the Football podcast. In fact, he withdrew even before playing his first match with the team.

Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, said:

"I'll make a prediction, either Declan [Rice], Saka, [Phil] Foden - I've got a good feeling that they will pull out of the second game."

Some speculate that this could be part of Mikel Arteta’s strategy to ensure his most valuable players are fit for next Sunday’s crucial title showdown against Manchester City. The reigning champions have also seen one of their main players - Kevin De Bruyne - avoid international duty after not being named in Belgium’s squad.

Four Arsenal players have opted out of international duty

In addition to Saka withdrawing from international duty due to injury concerns, several other Arsenal players have chosen not to travel with their respective national teams and instead remain at London Colney training base.

Among them are Brazilian trio Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus who all opted for staying in north London rather than participating in international matches.

While the full extent of Saka's injury is yet to be revealed, his withdrawal from England duty has certainly raised eyebrows and sparked discussions among fans and pundits alike. As Arsenal gears up for its end-of-season matches, all eyes will be on how this situation unfolds and what it could mean for the team's performance in their upcoming fixtures.
